| Does RRA and Bushmaster 6 pos CAR stocks have mil spec or commercial tubes? Explain the difference please. If you can give demensions that would be great. Thanks |
| RRA and Bushmaster both use commercial tubes. Magpul illustrates the differences here. |

Actually, the very first Bushmaster carbines, the 16" and the 11.5" with the welded flash suppressor used military diameter four position collapsing stock tubes with early style stocks in both aluminum, and later, nylon material.
The commercial diameter tubes came with the new style M4 stock and are six position. Unless they recently changed back to mil-spec diameter, these are the stock assemblies that still come standard on Bushmaster carbine. For the longest time, the easiest way I would identify mil diameter tubes from commercial diameter tubes was that mil diameter were four position and commercial diameter were six position. All that has changed now and you really need to measure the diameter of your tube with a caliper to know exactly what you have. |
