my fellow quad rail gang. I recently picked up an LMT MARS-L rifle in the quad rail variety and am not wild about the rail covers that LMT included with the gun. Kinda like KAC, they're thick and bulk and are a PITA to move up and down the rail with that little "clip". what other slim and more "rubbery" rail covers do you guys tend to prefer for a quad? I have the Daniel Defense slim rubber ones on my DDM4 v9, but was curious what the hive mind thinks |

Magpul ladder rail These are my go to. Cheap and easy to install. Don’t add any extra bulk to an already bulky quad rail. |

I'm seeing a lot of lean towards the ladder covers. I was actually considering those myself. one question though. Are the magpul ladder covers actually differnet than the Ergo ones? I saw chatter years ago that the Magpul ones were just rebranded Ergos, and the price differnece is fairly decent ($10 for one magpul cover, $14.99 for 3 covers with the ergo). But at the same time, if there's a difference and the magpul is superior, I have no qualms about grabbing those |

I used the Magpul XT. But I have big hands and like the extra bulk. If you’re just trying to reduce the rub, go with ladders. I have a quad rail for my Yugo AK. I went back to the wood, but still have them for no particular reason. They were UTG rail covers. Don’t like them as much. They were rounded off only on one end. Kinda weird, more like scales than continuous covers. Dunno if UTG is still around. Probably limping along. |

| I've tried rail ladders, Magpul covers and most other common covers, but he LaRue Index Clips are by far the best rail covers of all. They aren't "rubbery", but they are low profile and the most customizable of any rail cover available. Even the chinese knockoffs work well, but since LaRue reduced their price to a more reasonable level, I bought directly from LaRue. . |

The ladder rail covers are fine but if you're using an FRT the KAC or P&S rib rail covers are great... If you can find them for reasonable money. Attached File |
