I just purchased a core 15 m4 rifle, and I'm trying to find a quad rail that isn't too expensive. Amazon has one called "UAG 2-Piece AR15 AR-15 M4 Carbine Rifle Quad 4-Weaver/Picatinny Rail Aluminum Handguard". The reviews look good, but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with this product and if it worked well with their core 15. I was looking at a utg quad rail that had great reviews, but there was a negative review saying it didn't fit the core 15 models.

If you are going that cheap, go with the UTG Pro.

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/570077/utg-pro-2-piece-handguard-quad-rail-ar-15-carbine-length-matte-with-black-rail-guards

Pros: Made in the USA, rails are in spec and it is rock solid.
Cons: Everyone on this forum will make fun of you and tell you it is a POS Airsoft piece of equipment.

AR15.com approved option:

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2696113029/yankee-hill-machine-diamond-free-float-tube-handguard-quad-rail-ar-15-aluminum-matte

Pros: Made in the USA, rails are in spec and it is rock solid... People on AR15.com will not make fun of you or call it a POS, they will just tell you that their $300+ rails are WAY better.
Cons: Costs more than UTG Pro

EDIT:

The UTG Pro will fit your Core15 if it has the standard carbine-length hand guards.

If you are going to go really cheap then get the primary arms rail.  Primary arms is a site sponsor and stands behind their products.

Pony up the money on a YHM rail.  Best bang for the buck IMO, and you'll never need to upgrade.

I have the Daniel Defense drop in carbine length quad rail.
What I have found is it is best to try to handle a few before you buy.
I found that the less expensive rails tend to be heaver and wider. Changing the balance, weight, and weak hand or non-firing hand grip of the forearm.
After I purchased my rail for $150 I felt that others were smaller and easier to hold around the rail while shouldered.
Their ability to have rails and mounts added without having full rails covering the whole forearm I felt was a plus, no rail covers needed ( This your weapon not the DOD's. It will not have to be customized by another operator).

It is YOURS.....Have fun, and expect to spend $ and have parts in the safe you no longer use or rediscover and swap out time again.

That said I must pick up another AR before the SHTF.
