I bought a quad rail from Amazon.com and found that after I got it on my DPMS that my Magpul front sight bolt will not fit.  I didn't spend a lot of money on this rail and don't really want to spend a lot of money just to fit a front sight on my AR.  Has anyone else ever had any issues with anything like this?

Mine fit my UAG Carbine Quad ($41 from Amazon) just fine..

Remove the MagPul MBUS screw all the way.. then try sliding it on from the front.. try the UP position and wiggle it on till you can see the 1st notch thru the screw-hole in the MBUS...

Make sure you mount with MagPul Logo facing toward the muzzle.. the SCREW HEAD on the RIGHT.. the NUT on the LEFT.

then put the screw in.. make sure the NUT is on the NUT side of the MBUS..

Something to consider: if that forearm wiggles at all over time your zero is nonexistent.  It may lock up tight but it can work loose and your back ups are no longer accurate.

Well....I did all of that (trust me basic lefty loosy righty tighty, and all that is clear).  The problem is that the bolt that came with the MBUS is too fat to slide thorough the rail.  My UTG forgrip will not mount to it either.  The sight went on with no problems....Getting the bolt to go thorugh all of the way is the issue.

LOL

Seriously, send it back. The rail is out of spec. If a UTG forward grip won't fit on it, you know you have issues.

Can you lay the BOLT on top of the rail and check width??

You may have gotten a DUD rail..

Yep...you have a higher chance of that rail being out of spec than you do with the sight. Return the rail & buy higher quality next time.
