I have a SP-1 sn 194083 that I'm thinking of selling. A guy told me that the bolt is not original as it has notches for the forward assist. Could someone please explain that to me. Thanks, Ken

The bolt carrier, not the bolt will have notches cut into it for the forward assist to engage.

ETA: They are the notches in the right side (if looking from the back) of the carrier.

You can see them in this pic

But not in this one

ETA: I have no idea if the SP1 should or should not have the fwd assist notches, I am just showing what they are

Thanks, Makes perfect sense now. I'll check it and see if he is correct. He only saw a pic of the rifle with the bolt closed so I suspect he is trying to find out how stupid I am and low ball the price. Again thanks, Ken
