Im not going to hurt my self only a few old doors :)   These are only photos of the M4 masterkey and I don't wan't to get a 200$ tax stamp for these shotguns unless its my only choice.     I might have to I really didn't see much for choices just knight armament and remington 870MCS both are short barrel shotguns

They are next to useless, or so the story goes.  I don't see how you are going to get around the short barreled shotgun issue and the $200 tax stamp if you want it on an M4.  If it were me, I'd sling up a complete shotgun on my back and use it as needed.  YMMV.

who sells 870mcs to civies, regardless of stamps? I've not seen or heard of anyone having one for sale. all i've heard was a number got sent to irag and/or afghanisitan under a contract.

neat toys. from what i've heard the shotguns only get real use as entry tools, especially the short ones.

Sorry The remington I saw was on a web site and not for sale.   I did see a knight armament shotgun but the price is alot of money.
Sorry about the stupid post.
The idea of a shotgun on my AR15 was kind of stupid.   But I still think it looks cool.

Not only will it be ridiculously long (if not AOW) but ridiculously heavy.  These things look cool, but that is ALL.  In reality they suck balls.

I had the same setup used in predator. There is a place in florida that sell this. It is called excaliber arms. The rig was awsome but I had to sell it for finacial reasons. I have pics of it still if you want to see what it looked like. You can only mount it on a 20 inch barrel though.

War story time.......

My son had one of the 870MCS in Iraq earlier this year.  He carried it as a breachers gun (pistol grip and 9" bbl) along side his M16A2 (not mounted together).  I worked with him on our range (both father and son in Iraq together) and after some drills he adopted with the fixed stock and the 14" as a carry gun.  He learned he couldn't hit any thing with the shorty.  I use a M79 and buckshot for my entry gun.

That's all the Masterkey was meant to do - door breaching (hence the name) and not for combat like the setup in Predator was used.  Most teams switched back to having a separate breeching gun since once breached the Masterkey made for a hideously unbalanced and heavier rifle, compromising function and the mission.

Now you can go the otherway... I've seen the mount for the M11 machine pistol to be mounted underneath a Streetsweeper/Striker shotgun.

The Masterkey still sees some use with SpecOps units who prefer it, or require it. Otherwise, the Masterkey is dead. It is a lousy M203 and an even worse Benelli M4. The new XM26LSS has be issued and field tested with units who require/desire such a capability and this new weapon is magazine fed, and capable of being a stand alone device with the addtion of a stock. The gun in Predator was a very early "product improved" M16 still with A1 sights and the early round handguards. Underneath, was a Mossberg 500 with full 18.5 inch barrel....to me, that was almost as absurd as The Body with a minigun and everyone else one handing sawed down HK94's. Sweet movie, though.

I suspect you could do it with one of the NEF single shot shotguns.  Cut it down to about 18.5 & fabricate a mount to go under a 20" AR.  You'd probably have to load it by swinging the action down, but it should work if you just wanted a shotgun under an AR & didn't want to go to the trouble for a SBS.  This is assuming the shotgun wouldn't fall into the SBS category due to OAL if it wasn't mounted on the AR.

I seem to remember a stock that you could put on the newly added top mounted rail so when you took the shotgun off, you had a stock for it.  Anyone else remember this?

As goofy as the combo looks, I've always wanted one.

i agree,  but the added weight (6lbs. !) under the barrel might help with fully automatic fire, and give you added security if someone runs up on you while your reloading.  or you can run up on someone, blazing bursts from both barrels.

there is also the added advantage of loading less-than-lethal rounds.

I made some mounts similar to the KAC model a few years ago.  I will be making some more in the next couple of months.  I used 7075-T6 aluminum barstock, hard-coat anodized to mil-spec.  You need to drill and tap 4 holes in the top of your Remmy 870.  The next run will be made on my CNC Bridgeport mill, for about $150.

Is it just me, or does this picture look photoshopped?  Wouldn't that be a little hard on the barrel nut AND the non-free floating lower portion of the forend?
