I am planning to get a Bushmaster 16 inch lightweight barrel to put on an A-1 upper.  The barrel will come with an A-2 FSP.

Will I have any trouble with zero?

Bushmaster uses a standard front sight base, you will be fine.

Thanks

I just didn't know if there was a slight difference between the hight of the A1 and the A2 post.

The A1 and A2 posts are the same height, but the "carbine" sight posts of either type are .040" taller to compensate for the shorter sight radius.  Even so, I have never had a problem zeroing a carbine with a standard sight post.  The base of the post usually ends up just below flush with the front sight base.

If you're calling in your order to Bushie, you can specify the higher post when you order. They'll tell you that you don't need it, but they'll ship it that way if you insist. At least they did with mine.

Also, the higher posts are a tad narrower than the standard, to compensate for the closer position. If you use a stansard rifle height post, it'll cover up more of the target when you aim.
