Hi all, I recently picked up a Single Point scope, and had a question - what is the hole at about the 7 o'clock position for? It appears to be lined with brass, but there are no threads or anything - just a smooth hole. Was there a way to plug a battery pack in or something? Also (and it's a long shot) does anyone know of a source for caps for the adjustment screws? This one didn't come with any. In other pictures I've seen they appear to just be rubber caps that are pressed on. Thanks. |

The hole is the port for removal/replacement of the tritium source for night illumination. No one makes a replacement. It would be interesting to see if a diode and watch battery could be adapted to fit in some way. All Singlepoints had the receptacle and port cover, but not all came from the factory equipped with tritium. Covers were press-on caps of hard rubber or plastic. |
