I'm looking for a scope for my newly purchased DPMS AP4. It already has iron sights but I'm wanting a scope. Can I leave my iron sights on still add a scope? If I can do this, it looks like I may have to raise the scope up a little?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Joe

If yours came with a carry handle you'll need to remove it and replace it with a folding sight (if you want to keep a rear sight) otherwise the scope will be too high to be usable.

No, mine didn't come with a handle on it. Thanks.

Get flips or get back on the short bus.

If it's a flattop (A3) you'll want a cantilever scope mount like LaRue or others offer.

Thanks. I couldn't get much help at the gun store or else I would have asked them.

Make sure your scope mount places the centerline of the scope 1.5" above the top of the charging handle. This will give you the same cheek weld as when you use iron sights. With an A3 receiver, the LT-158 is at the correct height.
