Ive been following the lower assembly instrcutions on the do it yourself section and Im working on the  front pivot pin.  I inserted the spring, then the detent as instructed then pushed the pivot pin in until it snapped into place.  The pivot pin is now stuck and wont move.  Ive got a sneaking suspicion that I used the wrong detent. (Maybe the one for the rear take down pin?) Or is it in backwards?  Any help would be appreciated, also on how to get it unstuck.  Ive got a 1/16 punch, but its just a hair too big to fit in the hole for the pivot pin.

The detent for the pivot pin and the takedown pin are the same. The detent can be inserted from either side. It sounds like the hole in the pivot pin which engages the detent in the fully extended position is too deep. This causes the pin to bind while trying to push it back in. Oil the slightly exposed part of the detent and lightly strike the pin with a mallet to close it.

When you first put them together they are very stiff. Oil it and smack the small end of the pivot pin with the end of a screw drive handle or block of wood.  Work it back and forth and it will get better. I put a little Lubriplate grease in the groove of the pins.
