I have a Daniel Defense M4A1 12.5 Inch RIS II . I have a test firing hole built into the floor of my reloading room. I had the rail apart working on the barrel and the darn barrel nut was knocked off the bench and roll of all places into the test firing hole in the floor. I tried but I can't even find it to stick a magnet to it to get it out. To much padding and years of test bullets in it. Does anyone know if one of these will fit an AR receiver. They are made for a 308 receiver. I have never looked at a 308 receiver and do not know the difference. They list 3 different kinds. I looked on DD web site but did nt see any barrel nuts listed. I called several times and kept getting a recording I'd really appreciate any help I could get

Here's the rail I have

No, the .308 barrel nuts will not work on the AR15-they are larger, with a different thread pattern.  You need the special barrel nut that your DD RIS II is meant for, only available from DD.

You need the nut (and wrench) from DD.  Give them a call...really good folks.
