| Just want to know if its normal or something is wrong. Finished my first build and shot it today. Functioned flawlessly. Just one thing concerns me though.i shot it with my old optic which was mounted on my s&w m&p a Burris AR132 which was zeroed great on the M&P. On the new build it was shooting about 10 inches to the left at 25 yards. Is it normal for it to be that far off? I understand some difference but 10 inches? Thanks in advance. |
| I'd say it's not that unusual. Yeah, 10" is a fair amount but I've seen significant changes when switching optics from gun to gun, both horizontal and vertical. Just check your mount and make sure there isn't any foreign material in there somewhere - otherwise just sight it in and call it good. You might check your setup too though - for instance do you have a sight mounted to a free float handguard where maybe the handguard is off just a little? That would certainly do it. |
