| I'm new to this, and I'm attempting my first build. I've assembled my lower and have ordered a Magpul stock. I've also got an Daniel Defense assembled upper receiver on backorder from Midway. I gather from reading this forum that a lot of guys buy complete uppers. I didn't go that route, and I'm wondering what else, specifically, I need to buy to complete my build. Obviously I need a barrel, bolt carrier, etc..., but I'm a little unclear on the rest. Sorry for such a dumb question, and thanks in advance for the help. |

you need the following to complete a upper:
1) Stripped upper and upper parts kit or an assembled upper 2) Muzzle device if you purchased a threaded barrel(some come with a crush washer) 3) Front Sight Base(FSB) or gas block 4) hand guard end cap if you are not free floating your hand guard 5) Gas tube and roll pin 6) free float tube or hand guard 7) delta pack also known as a slip ring if not free floating your hand guard 8) bolt carrier group(BCG) 9) charging handle 10) sights or optic If i missed anything, someone will be by to correct me. |
