Hello everybody,I'm newbie here.I'm from mainland of China.I have a question about laser sight:
What's the difference between ITI LAM's laser sight,SF laser sight and AN/PEQ2(AN/PAC4)?
None of my friends could answer the question, who can tell me?Thanks a lot:)

The ITI Laser Aiming Module (LAM), as shown at the lower area of link above is an active aiming device and places an actual red dot on the target, visible both to the shooter and the target (should that target be a person).

The AN/PEQ2 or PAC/4 devices are used with night vision optics and are not visible to the naked eye.

Hope this helps,
Mike

While I have taught Chinese folks here and the company has an office in Bejing, so I don't suffer the paranoia expressed above (btw, Clinton done sold them anything High-Tech worth selling), fact of the matter is, not being in the military and not understanding the actual specifics of your question I can't say for certain.

I can venture a guess tho, after reviewing the specs of both and would suspect that the your assumption is correct the AN/PEQ2 does have the better/farther range capability when compared to the SF.

Just wait... a couple months from now we're gonna start seeing the Tacpoint "BN/PEQ-22" on sale for about $200.

Your info was fine. Giving range capability is not fine with me. Let's just sayd that I used to do collection when I was in the USN and am a little paranoid to say the least!

But actually some wargame players in China own real AN/PEQ2 and AN/PAC4.Their friends in the U.S.Army bought these for them.
So it's not a secret to some Chinese now.(But I havn't seen the real AN/PEQ2,AN/PAC4 now,so I don't know the difference between AN/PEQ2 and SF laser sight. Then I had to ask you.)
I'll find the pictures of their collection for you later.

Don't tell me that! This just blows my mind. I understand that U.S. Military gear is in the hands of the Red Army, but that doesn't mean that I have to add to it!
