| Hey guys need a little help with an offset mount for a surefire m951 light. I recently purchased a spikes mid length ar and bought a vltor casv-m handguard for it. I also have a surefire m951 light, I would like to put on it. . So irresponsibly I bought a DD 1 oclock offset mount (glad I didnt pay $45 for it). I put it on, then the light. LOL DD mount isnt long enough to catch both grips on the lights mount, its one rib short. Should I buy another DD to make it work, buy a 5 slot mount that holds the light 1" away and sets in 1 oclock position like the DD mount does, or sell the light and buy another that is lighter and more compact, has QD, and yet still has both the pressure switch and on/off and IR capabilities? If so what light does this? TIA |

I just went with the Danger Close mount for my M951. I have the same rail as you, too. Did the mount at 12 o'clock for easy thumb operation, and I figured out I don't like the pressure switches.

Thanks. Do you mind taking a pic looking down the barrel, so I can see how far it sticks off the rail Like this? http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e355/nevadaxj/light2.jpg |

I wish my 951 looked that good. (Actually I have 2) |
