I went back to Cabelas this morning (picked up a couple 30 round mags before they're outlawed) and asked to see the Bushnell TRS25. As the clerk handed it to me, he said this isn't going to be very good since it only has one mounting clamp. I looked at him and said "it's suppose to handle .50 calibers. If it was a foot long and weighed a pound, you could be right but this is 2 1/2" long and weighs 4 ounces". He looked stumped. I assume this red dot or the Primary Arms micro with it's single mount will work on a kid's muzzleloader with half the normal powder charge? Thanks.

I am SURE you know far more than the guy at Cabelas. |

Quoted: I am SURE you know far more than the guy at Cabelas. I was thinking the same thing. I have (2) Weaver #45 bases on the way but I'm not sure they're going to be very long. The firearm's mounting hole spacing is: * .502" * 2.180" * .502" * So with these bases, I assume the micro would have to mount on only one of these short bases. They look barely 7/8" long, is that enough? http//www.midwayusa.com/product/1477182321/weaver-top-mount-scope-base-45 |
