Recently the .300 Blackout has really peaked my interest and I'm wanting to pull the trigger and get one.  I was using the help threads provided on this site to find out where all I can get them after doing some independent research.

the So You Want to Buy an AR 15 sticky is a good helpful thread I went to for starters.

I'm not the most savvy person when it comes to guns yet, but I like to think I'm starting to get pretty handy.  First things first was to find all the manufacturers of the .300 Blackout and take it from there.  The reason for using that thread was just that....to see all the makers.

The list seems very light though...and i'm wondering why some AR 15 makers do not make the cut to be listed....such as.... Barrett, Daniel Defense, Spikes, Knights Armament, Larue, LWRC etc.  My main thing right now is looking at ALL AR 15 manufacturers.

Currently there is none.

Just about everyone makes a 300 Blackout upper now though... and it is harder to find a "bad" manufacturer than it is to find a good one.

General Guidelines -

Stay away from Blackthorne, Hesse, Vulcan
Generally speaking if they are sponsors of this site then they should be GTG.
Larue, Noveske are just about the best you can get barrel wise from manufacturers in a complete setup.
Lothar Walther, Krieger,  Shilen, Lilja all make amazing barrels individually, occasionally you can find companies that offer barrels from these guys in complete rifles... i.e. Larue exclusively uses Lothar Walther barrels.
If you find a lower that is made by "Bob's Machine Shop" or the like in your local gun shop for $120 bucks you should pass.  There are plenty of companies out there who make solid lowers that are consistently in spec for a good price.
If you find a lower that is made by "Bob's Machine Shop" or the like in your local gun shop for $70 bucks then you need to go over it with a mic and check for things being in spec... if they are in spec then go for it.
Always consider your complete end products role when specing out a build... A 24" SS Bull barreled rifle does not make a good rifle to carry all day and shoot off hand when you see a target.
Consider balance and weight at all times.
Milspec = Just good enough, not "best"
If Brand A and Brand B both have the same specs on paper then asking for a comparison generally is an exercise in futility.

Anything else could be considered a specific question and feel free to ask!
