If you've ever removed the killflash. Is it best to unhook the rubber band from the hook underneath the killflash, then remove killflash, and then remove rubber band over the mount?
Going to take mine off and that seems like the logical order. Is there any other way outside of removing mount? Thanks |
| Does your killflash have a hook on the housing or does it screw into a piece which has the band hook? When I want to remove my killflash I just unscrew it from the mount. If you want to take off the whole killflash system with rubber band I think you need to remove the ACOG. It doesn't feel like the band wants to stretch enough to be removed over the top and I'd be afraid of stretching or snapping it. |

I have cut the honeycomb out of my RCO killflashes because I do not like the shadows it causes but like the tunnel it provides and in so doing reduces glare from the sun. Made it into a sunshade for the most part.
When I took mine off I took it off from the front and then off the mount after the pressure was removed from the band. |

Are these things really worth having or just look cool? Unless you have people shooting at you, they just look cool. But on the other hand, if you're planning to add flip caps, you need the killflash in order to mount the caps. Rob No coyote I've ever shot at has fired back at me. That said, I don't worry much any longer about sunlight reflecting off the front lens to notify coyotes of my presence. |

Yes. I already posted that if you cut the crap out you will get a sun shade, combine this with the caps and you have the best of both worlds. No real need for the anti reflection crap but the sunshade function works well in morning and late day sun. Sorry, I saw where you mentioned the Killflash made a good shade tunnel, but not where the lens caps fit. I appreciate the quick answer. |

So you will know, the RCO ARD for the 31RCO and the ARD for the M150 both are the same size so the caps fit either. The .mil issue one with the M150 has a laser lens inside as eye protection. |
