I recently purchased a Comp M3..love it. Not the problem.

I bought a lightly used 3X magnifier complete with the LaRue flip mount from a vet down on his luck. Good deal for both of us.

Problem: I installed it on my AR and noticed a significant amount of play with the magnifier. Upon further review, the play was under the rubber armor of the magnifier. I could not get the rubber off due to it appearing to be glued on. Long story short, I cut it off carefully. I found the problem, the 2 halves of the magnifier where held together with 4 screws was loose... all 4 screws were barely finger tight. I have tightened same and it is very solid now.

Question: I have tried unsuccessfully to contact Aimpoint so that I can buy an new rubber cover and basic advice on installation. I have left 3 voicemails over 2 weeks. Is there anywhere I can buy this part?
I am in customer support with a pretty big company, and these things happen... but this being my first experience with Aimpoint is disheartening.

Thanks,
Mac

I have never seen a magnifier get loose before.  I also have not seen any replacement covers for sale before either.  I would see about getting it replaced under warranty if possible and if not, send it to Aimpoint to get recovered.  I doubt you could get it on by yourself as it is probably heat shrunk on.

Get some contact cement and glue the old one back on hiding the seam at the bottom.  Wrap it in masking tape while the glue dries to maintain compression all around the optic.

I know my post was rambling, but my real question is how to actually get a response from Aimpoint???

4 calls now.
