| I just received my SN-4 in the mail today. Awesome glass! I do however have a question. At the 1x magnification, why do I have trouble using it with both eyes open like I would an Aimpoint? The reticle (circle/chevron) is very blurry. The 1.5 x scope on my Steyr Aug has no such problem. |

Do you have it mounted to the Rifle? www.csgunworks.com [email protected] Here’s some testimonials about CS GunWorks for AR15 Board What do YOU have to say about CS GunWorks |

This is new to me. Do you have the rear eyepiece adjusted to your eye? www.csgunworks.com [email protected] Here’s some testimonials about CS GunWorks for AR15 Board What do YOU have to say about CS GunWorks |
| Yes, it's adjusted (for me with glasses on). Everything is crystal clear when I aim at targets that are far away. Both the reticle and target are even fairly clear at 1x when I focus on the reticle at cqb distances. However, I've been trained to look at the target, not the reticle and when I do that, the reticle becomes a blur. |

I'm a friggin' idiot. Turns out, it was the focus. Since everything was clear except for cqb use, I thought the scope was already in focus. Turns out, a little adjustment made it in focus for long and short distance crystal clear. Feel free to reply with "See?" Just a side note, it seems like the posi-lock mount is a little low for my taste. I really have to cock my head down to get a good sight picture. I would probably be better served with a higher mount. Arms 22 or Larue perhaps. |

Don't feel bad...I got a Super Sniper used on the EE, and it had BC scope cover already on it. I played with it a bit, then posted I didn't think the image quality was very good. A couple of days later, I decided to play with it some more, and clean the lenses really good. I took the BC scope covers off, only to find a nice shiny focus knob on the eye end of the scope. |

Was doing an NSR to the chest and the thing just popped off! I left it hanging and did another NSR and it came completely off. C4 |

Grant - let me get this straight - you dont use it illuminated? Even for movers or shooting while moving/mounted? - low Light? I have been debating getting one for a while - but they promised a revolutionary scope at SHOT two years ago for CQB, while discussing some other optic version... |
I have never shot it illuminated, but I also have not been in a low light condition. C4 |
I shot Pats carbine at night with the PVS-14 mounted behind the M2. I had a mag in my right rear pocket, and attempted to load the rifle right handed for convenience....the result? A quick smack on the back of the head and a whistling voice: "What, you think just cause it's dark I can't see you fuckin' up?" I never attempted to load a mag right handed again! |
LOL, that sounds about right! C4 |

![]() Grant, off topic, but that round cooking off must have been a real eye opener. Good thing you showed discipline for even the most mundane task. On topic, I now find myself rearranging budgets to allow a scope like this into my "arsenal". |
It was a REAL eye opener and taught me a lot about muzzle discipline for sure. I was an interesting experience to say the least. After running a variable power optic through the MEU SOC course (and understanding its benefits) I will NEVER buy a fixed power optic (ACOG). Aimpoint's and EOTech's are awesome for CQB, but If your shooting at greater distances and want flexibility then go with a 1-4 power IMHO. C4 |
+1 Unfortunately it makes keeping up with the Jones expensive if you dont have an R&D budget helping float you. |
No. I have also put the weapon on safe and pulled on the trigger as hard as I can. C4 |
Agree. Most shooters believe that if the weapon is safe then they are GTG (not true). C4 |
Having the safety on still does not nullify Rule 2 and what happened just reinforces this. I'm glad it all turned out okay. As long Grant has hands he can still pack my orders so he's still GTG without a foot or two... ![]() On the subject at hand, I'm finding myself more and more attracted to variable low power(1-4x) scopes these days. If I can find one I really like I may even skip the magnified EOTech. |
