Depended on desired use a red dot like eotech or aimpoint   or  plenty of options for magnification. I would like the new aimpoint pro which are around 400
2. What other parts are needed to finish my build? (Rear Sight?)

Thanks in advance,

I built nearly the same thing (same upper and lower) this week. Look at my post here for details:

IM me if you have any questions. Be glad to help.

The ACOG wholesale is about $1,000, retail $1,476. Not exactly in the budget range but very nice.

Eotech 512 is, in my opinion, the best holographic red dot.  I highly recommend it and so has everybody else that shot using mine.  Have several guys who bought cheaper red dots use my eotech and decide they wished they had waited to spend their money.  YMMV.  ACOG best for magnification.  Good luck dropping that $1400.

I also have a Nikon p223.  It's ok.  I like it for magnification.  Not as strong a recommend as the eotech.  The target aquisition with the eotech is amazingly fast.

Oh yea you may as well add a JP adjustable gas block.  Just my .02.  Seekins makes a good one too.

For a very inexpensive scope that is $80 at Amazon there is the Bug Buster scope. Very good reviews for such a cheap scope. This may have to hold me over until I have enough $$$ for the ACOG or something else permanent for my latest AR build. Have to keep cost down so I can build another one.

I probably will have one of these next week to test and review.

For the fun of it I threw an ACOG on mine so the OP can see how his build would look with one on his. I don't know why I did this. Now I don't want to take it off. LOL
