I have a CMMG 300BLK upper and I want to change the Flash Hider. Cmmg says 5/8 x 24 so do I need a 308 FH or a 556?

Thanks

.308.  5.56 is threaded ½ x 28 and the opening would be too small.

Double check the tread pitch. I bought a HYM 6.8 FH for a PSA 6.8 build assuming it would work...it did not. Ended up getting a VLTOR and it worked well.
