Hey guys, (I posted this in Build It Yourself, as well.)

I was lucky enough to pick up an SP1 today. I had planned to convert it into a pre-ban M4 using a Bushmaster M4 SIR upper, but I need to know if there's any way to do so. I'm not good enough at eye-balling these to know, but I believe my pivot-pin is the larger pin (big hole).

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys!

I just put an M4 upper on my SP1 lower using the offset pin yesterday.  It works like a champ [:P]

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you really just want an M4gery, find a late pre-ban Sporter, one that has the small pivot pin anyway. Then if you have money left, you can take the old upper goup and have the flash suppressor replaced with a look-alike muzzle brake and build a post-ban rifle.

Few things make me want to just BARF as much as seeing a perfectly good SP1 lower, especially an early one, that has been vandalized with an M4 upper and stock. Let SP1s be SP1s; they're just right the way they are.
