I posted this in GD and I am asking here as well.
Is it worth the investment to purchase a low quick detachable mount for my Aimpoint H1 or stay with factory mount?Any advantages or benefits that will make my red dot better than the factory mount besides the ability of going back to zero? Will the factory mount screws loosen when you shoot if you do not use Loctite ? It will be going on my FN PS90.I know it's not a major purchase ,Larue mount will set me back $110. Thanks

If you might get another sight, I have two sights, both with QD mounts.

I sometimes swap my red dot for a scope, both QD mounted and zeroed on the same rifle.  Good return to zero QD is beneficial for that.

If you plan to just run the red dot and not be taking it on and off, then the factory mount will serve well.

If you swap an optic from one weapon to another then LaRue is not the best choice. LaRue adjusts to a specific rail using a tool. When moving to another rail it will require tool adjustment therefore defeating the purpose of the QD function.
