Does a stripped lower need to go through an FFL dealer?

As far as I know yes......the lower receiver is considered the firearm.

Yeah, I know the lower is considered the firearm, I just wasnt sure on a stripped lower.

Stripped or not stripped, it's still the serial numbered part and must go through a FFL, unless it's a "private-sale".....
