What is the pivot pin in a RRA LPK made out of?? What is the metal? I had to shave a little off of mine and I am wondering if it will still be strong enough. Thanks for the help!

I have a high standard lower (It will be my last one). There was not enough space in between the pivot pin and the lower (front of magwell). I have had it for 2 years and finally got tired of having to use so much force just to take down my AR (it took help from a second person to tap the pin in while I put TONS of pressure on it). I shaved down the side of the pivot pin with the channel on it. It works fine and takes down no problem now. It is hard to describe exactly how this fixed it, but it did.  That is why I did it. The pin was the cheapest part to replace, so I figured I would start there.

I have tried the same lower on numerous uppers. The problem is with the lower.

as long as you didnt pull alot of metal off of it, it should be ok.
