| Being as that CLP is a lubricant after using it do you need to use solvent..prior to finally oiling? |

CLP Cleaner Lubricant Protectant CLP was designed to perform three functions. You clean with it. Lube with it. And it protects. I use CLP as a light lubricant and cleaner on all areas of the rifle, with the exception of the bolt and carrier. On the bolt and carrier I use Break-Free LP for lube. www.break-free.com/?location=/main.asp |
No need to. CLP is a great rust prevent and a decent lube. I usally just use Weapons Shield CLP for my cleaner and lube on most of my pistols and rifles. Maybe every 1 to 2k rounds down range or once a year I'll use a solvent (or Mpro 7) cleaner. With ammo prices it is more of once a year than every few thou. |
