| I have a CZ v-22 upper I am taking the FF tube off of and putting on M4 handguards. I have the handguard cap and the full barrel nut assembly but with no gas tube I am a bit concerned the handguards may not stay tight. Am I worrying about nothing? |

Quoted: It keeps the handguard cap from moving, also from the barrel nut moving as a matter of fact.I may have to put a pin or something to lock the handguard cap to the non-functional gas block of the V22. I've got a Spike's .22 M4 upper, railed gas block with 3 setscrews on the under side. The barrel nut better not move, or you have problems from the get-go. The hand guard cap behind my gas block rotates with no hand guard installed too. But it's not what keeps the hand guard from rotating, the serrations on the barrel nut do that. I do believe that if you expect the cap to provide anti-rotation service to the hand guard - you'd saw through the gas tube with the cap. Put a pin through the cap into the gas block if you want, or tap it and put in an 8-32 screw if you like. I think the upper hand guard will interfere with the screw head unless you notch the underside leading edge slightly. Post pix of whatever you do, and discuss how it works out for you. Good luck. |
| The stock CZ gas block is just a useless block. It is not drilled for a gas tube, but does have a rail on top. That is its only use. I am going to put on my delta ring/barrel nut today and hopefully the handguards will be in the mail today. I will probably have to drill and tap a hole in the gas block so I can attach the handguard cap to it. |

And if the cap turns a bit, a small screw though it into the "gas" block would easily hold it secure. |
