I did the search and didn't find what I was looking for, so I'll try here.  I have three .308s that need scopes mounted, and I want quick release mounts, or at a minimum mounts that will remount and hold zero.  My problem is money, of course.  Two of the rifles are DPMS and the third is a nicely tuned PTR91 from JLD.  I'd like to buy three quick release mounts from Larue, but along with two triggers for the DPMS guns, we're well over a grand.  She almost crapped when I showed her the S&W Model 27 no dash I just purchased as an "investment".  The wife will do an inhouse vasectomy if she catches me!  I'd like one piece mounts if possible, quick release if possible, but the major concern is keeping the scopes zeroed when remounted.  One of the DPMS rifles is an AP4 and I already have mounted a Leupold Mk4 CQ/T on a custom quick release mount.  I want to be able to remove it and put on higher power optics if desired.
Thanks
Tom

The Armalite one-piece is a great mount.  I had one and it would return less than 1moa out.  Several others here have siad that there's returned perfectly.  They are only about $60...might be worth a look.

Good Luck

For quick release mounts, go Larue. Period. They will have something that will work for nearly any application.

Not quick, but good return to zero with the armalite and RRA single piece mounts.   iahve both, the Armalite is a tad too low and the RRA a tad too tall, so neither is perfect.  The RRA is cheaper.

I was in this situation too, but I would rather have an Armalite which is a tad low and I have the option of puttin on a QD riser on it, rather than something too tall. Hope that helps.
