I'm new to AR's, not to shooting. Bought a new RRA Entry Tactical Oct 06. Hey, need some ammo. I buy some Quat (900rds at the old price) , Radway (500rds/$119) , S&B 400rds @4.79 per box, xm855 @ 5.97 per box (300). WWB @Sports Authority .223 $3.47/box . I've bought some good ammo, at what I think are decent prices. I think it's the guys that think they need 10 to 20k rds of ammo that are fucking this up for the rest of us. |

The main reason people are hoarding 10k or 20k or more. Is they have seen prices rise consistently and availability drop for quality ammo. Yes, I am one of the Ammo Sluts that you detest. I won't apologize for making sure I can enjoy my favorite rifle for the next 20+ years. Don't worry, I am sure you will catch up soon. |

There is plenty of ammo out there, and if you feel 5 or 6 dollars a box is a decent I don't think you are going to have much trouble finding it. I find plenty at around $4 a box locally but did fork over 5.99 at Bass Pro the other day for some Q3131. The people who do the most bitching are the ones who want or need 30K, in which case 6 bones a box adds up quick. I wish I could shoot that much around here but the ranges I have found suck. If I was to fire 300 or 400 in a session around here the range would probably call the BATFEJIJDLWKEAJFDHEAFOIHAEF. |
