Does the RAS work with a round handguard cap? Yes I've looked for this information on the internet. I wanted to check before I applied some force in fitting the thing together.

if you are talking about the Knights Armament RAS, yes. They (and most others) were designed for M4 type weapons that will all have a round cap as standard...

Even the rifle RAS with the triangle HG? I don't know, but maybe it'd fit.

20" rifle RAS uses the triangle handguard cap.
Carbine applications use the round handguard cap.
