I had my FFL dealer order a rifle for me on Dec 19, 02. RRA said 5to 6 weeks well here it is 3-15-03 and still nothing. I have called RRa at least 3 times and I feel like I'm getting jerked around. My FFl has tried to call but can never get through. Anyone else had problems. If I hadn't already put money down I would cancell the order. I ordered a Armilite,BM, and Colt through the same dealer and each one was here in 2 days. |
|
I ordered a RRA complete upper and was told that it would take 4-6 weeks as well. It came in 5 weeks. I also placed a second order for a dechable front sight and they shipped it with no extra charge. I have heard nothing but great things about RRA and their customer service has been great to me. Please give them a chance. They are an up and coming company with a lot of demand at the present time. If you wait, I am sure you will be pleased with the finished product. |

I called RRA about 10 days or 2 weeks ago, and got a secretary of some kind. She said they were in the process of moving in to a new building, and that the techs were moving junk to the new place when they got a chance. I have spoke with Steve several times about different things, and he has been very helpful. I just wish they would add e-mail to their contact info !!!!!!! |

| I sent them my order on February 25th. I called them on the 28th and they verified that they had received it that day. I received it on March 18th. It was a complete rifle, the M4 Tactical Entry LE model with a telescoping stock. I am more than pleased with it and the order only took 18 days from the date that they received it until I had it in hand. |
| I'm having much of the same experience. On Jan. 30th I ordered a 24" varminteer A3 upper 1/8 twist. 2-3 weeks ago I had my FFL call and ask the status of the shipment. They said they were waiting on barrels. I had them call again yesterday and they said they were waiting on us to call back and let them know what twist 1 in 8 or 1 in 12. WTF The salesman and I remember placing the order and stating 1 in 8. I almost walked out with a Bushy varminteer. They said a couple weeks now that they have the info. If its not shipped soon I'll have the Bushy. |
| Well this is my first AR15. I just expected it to take this long I guess. I ordered the RRA cause of the rifle's reputation, quality, and for some other factors. Myself and 3 other officers are going to rifle/carbine school the second week of April, and I am starting to get nervous. To say the least, I will be VERY upset if I dont have the rifle for this class. I ordered my RRA, to what I believed, was early. But I wanted to have it before the school to become acquantied with and just to have some time to shoot it!. I thought this early order time should have been ample to time to get the rifle in from the original order date. My fellow coworkers were going to order RRA rifles as well. They waited and put off ordering their rifles and finally realized they should get around to ordering them. They just went down to a local gun shop and ordered DPMS LEO rifles and these only took 2 weeks to get in!! My wait right now is over 6 weeks. I hope everything works out and that the wait will be worth it. I HOPE. |
| Smae trouble here. I've been buying my guns through thi one shop for awhile now and when I decided to pop for an AR, they got my phone call. They weren't a dealer, but their distributor could get it. Long story short, the distributor crapped out and my gun shop * attempted * to get set-up as a dealer direectly with RRA. Either my gun shop has rocks for brains or RRA had no motivation to do it ... nothing happened for a month. Suffice to say I walked and found a place that was already a dealer and was quoted 4-6 weeks. Rifle was del'd in only three weeks. For what it's worth... |
| [nono]Between the war and a run on AR's by the american public and the military asking for RRA's it is gonna be a while. Be patient for I own a Bushmaster and a RRA Varmint and in my opinion the fit and finish of my RRA far exceeds the Bushy and it shoots a hell of a lot better! Times are tough all over. |

Quoted: [nono]Between the war and a run on AR's by the american public and the military asking for RRA's it is gonna be a while... The military's not asking for RRA's...where on earth did you hear that? There's a short on barrels and RRA is running low on other components as well but they're fighting to catch up! They'll get there, just hang in there! I can guarantee that it won't be as long as a wait as the ETA I was given on the new ArmaLite M4 type rifles (SOF). [:D] |

You're not alone, and neither is RRA. When I got my bushmaster lower, I was told there'd be waiting from both dealers who did and did not have them in stock after what they had today. BTW< when I got mine, someone came in while I was going through the paperwork and bought the other one. Now they tell me 4 weeks. I just spent $200 in the guy's store (got some mags) and he's telling me 4 wks? You think he's lying, or just not fond of cash? When I bought my RRA upper, same story - only the other units he's got are still there. I really want the 24" varmint mid-rise he's got... |

Sorry, Killzone, didn't mean to sound so harsh. I should have worded that differently. After RRA becomes a NFA Title III manufacturer then they may have the military approach them during industry constrained times like this, but right now they can't build the M16 or M4's. |
