I ordered a grip and ambi safety back on the 27th of December and got a email the next day confirming my order while the shipping charges were TBD. I also ordered a lower parts kit from BCM at the same time. Got my lower parts kit yesterday but nothing from rock river arms, not even a email that they shipped it. So I emailed them and asked where my products were and they sent me a email saying that they are closed for inventory "As stated on there website" until January 6th. And that it would ship in a few weeks. I kindly replied saying there is nothing on your website about being closed for inventory nor did I get a email while placing the order like I reasonable business would do. Then I asked why it would be a few weeks to ship when they'll be open on the 7th. She replied because of all the orders that were placed while they were closed but yet she said nothing about the fact the website does not say closed for inventory WTF.
Anyone else having this issue. Really sucks when you get you lower parts kit in but can't work on the build because of sorry closed for inventory. Obviously they knew if the posted closed people would probably order else where. I'm really considering canceling my order. |

RRA has always been a "small company," despite their popularity in the AR field. Their customer service (when you can talk to a real person) has always been very good for me, but the "real person" part is the catch. They basically have as many people as they can building guns and as few as possible in the office. You can, however, check with them in their Industry Forum, which seems to be well monitored.
During the early part of The Panic, I ordered a bolt from RRA to finish a build. When it turned out that it was going to take a while, I ordered another one from someone else (several big names had horrendous lead times at that point in time), and eventually finished my build. I now have an RRA bolt as a spare.... The cost of the parts you have on order with RRA isn't so much that just waiting for them to come in should make your family go hungry for a week. If it were me, I'd order the parts I needed from someone else and when the ones ordered from Rock River came in, I'd put 'em away as spares.

No one. My guess is that he was referencing PSA because they are a popular online shop that usually takes a couple weeks to get your items from. |
