I have a flat-top (M4gery) and will be getting a RRA Dominator II with an EOTech next week. The Dominator mount has a standard A2 rear sight for a BUIS and the M4 has a standard A2 front sight. According to the literature this raises the BUIS by about 1/4" and places it (co-witnesses it) in a sighting plane in bottom portion (bottom 1/3rd) of the EOTech window. My question is what is the starting point (initial setting) for the elevation of the A2 rears for say a 200 M zero (50 yd cross-over) so that it will index properly for range adjustment? I realize that range adjustment using the rears is seldom used, still I like to have my equipment set-up properly. I have the IBZ instructions form the Maryland AR site and used it on my current set-up (detachable carry handle with A2's). Do you follow the same procedures with the Dominator set-up? Thanks |
