Just added a RRA Entry Tactical to my rifles.
Have a question about the M4 handguards on the rifle.  Planned on attaching a mount rail underneath the bottom handguard, but noticed that after taking off the handguard that the heat shield is solid and doesn't have the port holes like on my Colt.  The Colt heat shield can be easily removed, but not so sure on the RRA M4 handguards.
Does any one know if these heat shields will pop off and go back on or are they permanently attached to the outer handguard?  I guess if the answer is permanently attached, I could drill holes through the shield to mount the rail, but would rather not if possible.

Just buy some Colts.  They're not that pricey and can usually be scored in the Equip Exchange here.

You can probably pop them off like any other.  I would recommend a Samson or Troy rail if this rifle is going to get any serious use.  Just how much torque do you think plastic sheetig can take?  Especially if you add a foregrip.
