I would like to get some input from the masses on usability of the RRA Quad Rails & 1/2 Quad Rails.
Pros - Cons, I'll probably not be bolting much more on the gun than a vertical grip & light.. |

I put a light and vertical foregrip on mine. I guess my only complaint is weight. It's the only rail system I have ever owned so I don't have much to compare it to, but it seems to weigh more than 11 oz. like a DD Lite Midlength. I've emailed Rock River on the issue and they have not gotten back to me on how much it weighs. Sorry I don't have more definite answers. Maybe someone else who has taken theirs off and weighed it will chime in. Everything else about this handguard is excellent. I like the fact that i have multiple options as to where I can hold the rifle. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/0219092316.jpg I looked at a complete RRA rifle with the half OVAL have picatinny rail last week. It was a bit heavy, but having said that the barrel was not a lightweight barrel. I would opt for the lightweight barrel, odds are it would improve the balance, that is my hunch anyway. Good luck |
