I’d like to know, from the experience of past or present RRA customers, how RRA's order procedure typically works. I ordered a complete rifle from them about 3 weeks ago. Today, my credit card was charged for the full amount of the rifle + shipping.

Does the fact that my card was charged today mean that my rifle is set to be shipped? Could it be near completion?

What was your experience?

I just got my RRA Varminter after 5 weeks. You will probably have your rifle soon.

Hello,

It took about 7 weeks to get my rifle from RRA.  At the time they were behind on barrels.  I believe last I heard they have caught back up, so you should be getting yours soon.  As for paying, I got my rifle C.O.D.

You will be more than happy with it.  They make awesome rifles.  Good luck with you new rifle...

I got mine in exactly four weeks and 2 days.  It's an M4 Entry Tactical.  I paid on the 3rd week, so I would say it will be in begining of the 5th week.  They build it when you order from what I understand.  Get your FFL to call them for you to get an exact ship date.  That's what I did and tomorrow I finally get to sight it in.

I'm interested in the entry tactical by rra...let us know what your experience is with it, how the two stage trigger feels, the shortened butstock, fit and finish, etc.

RRA only charges your card the day your item ships.  If you would like confirmation, just give them a ring and ask Steve and he'll be able to pull up your tracking number and confirm the date it shipped out.  If you need it, their number is (309) 792-5780.

Enjoy your new rifle and let us know how you like it!

MCTS, congratulations!

I may decide to try and get the tracking number from RRA myself.

This will be my first AR (and this will be my second post to this board). I am looking forward to sighting the weapon in. Will report.

Thanks and welcome Mr_D!

I only have a couple of more hours left before I can leave here to test my RRA M4. [:D]  This is my second AR and I must say I'm more impressed with this one from a fit and finish stand point than my Colt Hbar 16" carbine.  I'm not Colt bashing, I love my Colt but this thing just screams quality.  Also my Colt has a JP Enterprise Trigger group, very expensive and the RRA 2 stage feels every bit as good.  Now if it will only shoot as good as it looks and feels.  I'll let you know.

good gun....two stage trigger is awesome, very smooth....fit and finish were great too....only thing i didn't like about it was the shortened buttstock...little too short for my tastes, so i replaced it with a pinned tele-stock...

My RRA will be in late next week. If you want a non-stocked RRA rifle, expect to wait. Maybe you can find some deler who has some in stock, this way you wont have to order one. Mine will have taken around 8 weeks to get in. Hopefully it will be well worth the wait.

Just got back from shooting my RRA M4 Entry Tactical and it's money well spent.  In 60 rounds, with no malfunctions, I achieved sub 1" groups of 3 at 50 yds using an Aimpoint M2, no magnification.  I'm not the most accomplished rifle shooter, so this is very good for me.  I tend to do better on the CQB stuff, but suck at precision shooting.  I finally got used to the stubby stock.  If you keep you elbows in tight (like you are supposed to in CQB) your nose lines up just barely on the latch.  It still needs an inch (tactical vest), so I'm just considering placing a spacer or recoil pad to make up the difference.  I've got a 3 gun match tomorrow, so the M4's going to get a good work out.  Thanks, hope I didn't detract too much from the point of this thread.
