Just got a RRA M4 Entry A4 with the removeable tactical carry handle.  On one side of the handle, it has a knob that unscrews with a small, hollow area.  Was just curious if anyone knows what purpose it serves. Too small to put anything in.

Thanks in advance

I think it's for spare batteries for an Aimpoint.

Thats what i thought it was for! BUT? who uses the tact carry handle with an aimpoint anyway?

That's about all you CAN use it with.  And I think it's what they intended--Aimpoint on a low mount w/o spacer.  But it'd have to be a REALLY low mount...

If you used the cheap ($16) throw-away mount that came with the Comp M-XD you could use the 'tac handle' irons while the optic was in place.  IIRC the irons would be in the lower 1/3 of the optic.

This cheap mount is still available from SWFA, and I don't think they are included with the M2s.
