Does anyone have one of these? I'm getting an Aimpoint and i'm looking for a flat-top upper. Are they worth it or should i just get a standard flat-top with a detachable flip up rear sight? RRA UTE2 |

I've never tried it but the reason I stayed away from ordering it is because it limits your options. You could get a Flat-top with Dominator mount or LMT rear mount if you like the A2 style sight or go with flip up BUIS. But, if may really like that fixed A2 rear sight, go for it. It's ultimately your rifle. I don't know of any dealers that are carrying it. |
| I agree that it limits your options too much. However, if you're SURE that you only want that type of BUIS, then get it. You're going to be SOL if you want to resell it later though...so think hard about it. I often use cut-carry handle BUISs because I like that type, but I'd rather have the flexibility of the "normal" flattop. |
| I agree with everything these two gentlemen just said. I would never buy one for myself. However, I have a friend that is convinced that a continuous BUIS is neccissary for survival. He has always been into A2s before this. He thinks it is the best thing ever. A BUIS you can NEVER loose. |
