I had recently purchased an RRA 9mm upper, it's got the Tros 5" barrel on it. After cleaning it today, I noticed the finish has little specks where the finish is no longer there, and the plain metal cansbe seen under it. It is worst towards the top, on both sides just below the rail.

I thought RRA uppers were hard anodized and wouldn't have problems such as this.

Could heat be an issue with the finish? I don't have a C Mag for it, but it has gone through several mag dumps back to back.

Also, the disconnecter busted last time I took it out, just above the spring that sits inside the trigger. I had a spare so I put it in and was back to shooting again in no time. What would cause the disconnecter to break like that?
I didn't notice  till I had got home that the bolt carrier had what looks like a gash in the bottom of it. I don't remember it being there before.

Yes, I would have sent the photos to RRA to see what they want you to do, their service to top notch, I'm sure they will take care of you. What cleaner did you use??

Sprayed it down with carb cleaner and then remi oil, friend's of mine use the same thing on theirs, never had any problems, and I've never had anything like this happen on any of the other ARs either.
