Purchased XT rail covers but am having a hell of a time getting them on my Troy rail without scratching up the rail, any tricks?..........Thanks, Drifter NRA Life Member anti-gunner

| the rail covers shouldn't be able to scratch up your rails, they are made of plastic. All you need to do is but the top part of the rail cover on and then push down to snap the bottom part in. It takes a little bit of force but it shouldn't be too hard to get on. |
My rail covers were denting my rails...so I stopped using the hammer to install  Some covers just need that extra effort to put on. Try pushing in the middle to strech the "clamping"portion out. |
