Besides Midwest Industry,  who makes a rail for the def10?  I'd like to buy from SLR but it doesn't look like they make one for Armalite.

They do. It's under the DPMS high options. Got select a different barrel nut in the drop down menu.

Checkout the ones sold by Armalite. I've read good things and they look nice, but I have no personal experience with them.

I went with the 15" M.I.

I like it
very solid

That's a good looking rifle.  How's the trigger?  I'm trying to make a list of parts I want to replace.

The trigger was OK
typical USGI style, IIRC

...bu I replaced it with a JP, like most of my rifles have

This. I put one on my DEF10 and the only thing that could be improved upon IMO is if it were MLOK. It's solid, the barrel nut does not have to be timed and the rail to barrel nut lockup is superior to the MI friction fit, IMO. It is similar to the giessellle rails.

JL Billet makes a very nice M-lock in several lengths.  Order a DPMS high and check the Armalite barrel nut box.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.  One last question.  With the light barrel profile,  does it still take a .750 gas block?

Same here. Or it the key mods were pointing the other way. Seems things can be knocked loose under improper conditions.

I got the Tac15 on a 20" barrel. I need to take more pictures after cleaning up my dremel job.

My concerns as well but I'm no engineer. My BCM VFG and pic rail section for a bipod is holding tight so far, fingers crossed!

KeyMod is set up that way for specific reasons... What Is KeyMod? A Technical Look at the Standard

I like the Midwest Industries hand rails. I got the SS series over the M-LOK or Key-MOD

Pictures kinda suck. Somehow broke the little screen that covers the camera. Now i gotta be just right distance or it doesn't focus.
