Do Most rail have to parts to them? For example you have to clean/ oil the barrel correct. So Are some rails easier to take off to clean/oil?

Usually only the drop in type rails are 2 pc and easily removable. Most people don't really have a need to pull them for cleaning, if so its rare.

well not necessarily cleaning, but Oiling. How would you oil a Troy vtx rail or DD rails for example?

As easy as a rag on a stick + some oil. I actually use a surface coating for storing plastic injection molds. There is a similar product just for guns, but I don't know what its called. I thought about some black rustolium just as a moisture barrier that I didn't have to mess with. But I generally don't have any issues anyway, im not out for weeks at a time in wet areas, just thinking preventatively for what amounts to a non issue.

okay that makes sense. I just purchased my frist AR and was just wondering if there were any rails that where more easily detached. But You cleared up the issue I was addressing.
