[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rail mounts

I recently purchased a Command Arms rail mount that fits on a standard AR hand guard, there are three screws that secure through the air vents. does anyone think this will cause a problem for the rifle?

You don’t mention what you plan on mounting with the rail.

While not the sturdiest method of mounting vertical grips, some folks do go that route. For lights you should have no problems at all. I personally use a Weaver rail section bolted through my carbine HG’s for the mounting of a TLR-1.
