| I have a 14.5 pinned BCM upper with an original KMR. I'd like to switch to a quad rail 13-14" what options do I have without changing the barrel nut? |

Bootleg rails use kmr barrel nut ETA: If it helps, I've removed plenty of pinned/welded muzzle devices at home using nothing but a flat and round file. File away the weld until it's down below the surface of the muzzle device. Use a small punch and light taps to dislodge the pin and then work the muzzle device back and forth until the pin pushes up out of the muzzle device. Remove the pin with some pliers and then unscrew your muzzle device. After that you can remove the gas block and install whatever rail you want. Afterwards, send the whole thing off to ADCO and have them pin/weld a new muzzle device on for a few bucks. Easy peasy. |
