who makes the best car?

You need to be a little more detailed about what it is you want to do with it.  Going to mount optics?  Need free float capability?  What length?  Weight concerns?  You're missing a lot of info.

Id get a LaRue or DD over a KAC standard FF RAS type rail.  They are lighter, at least as good of quality, and cost less.

I did a little bit of research on this myself. I finally decided on a Surefire M73. It's a
drop in rail, so it is very easy to install. It is also fairly light compared to some others
and you don't lose your heat shields either. I got mine for $160 at a local gun show,
so they are fairly inexpensive compared to alot of others.

The DD Omega is a drop in, light weight and free float.

I have a couple of these and love them.  I do not NEED a FF rail, so the m73s are perfect for me.  That being said, I am going LaRue on my next build.
