| Hey guys I'm kinda new to the AR platform. I have had one for about two years now but am just now getting around to putting some up grades on it. I am asking what ya'll would recommend for a rail system. Would ya'll prefer drop-in or free float? And what system is the best bang for the buck? Thanks! |

I also prefer a MLOK system but others might say Keymod. Here are just a few I would go recommend. SLR Rifleworks Fortis Mfg. BCM Geissele Aero Precision Spikes Troy Industries Midwest Industries Knights Armament Daniel Defense Seekins YHM Many, many others. Take a look at Primary Arms or Rainier Arms...they have a large selection of rails from many mfg's. |
| I used a Troy 13" free float 2 piece that allows you to install using the factory barrel nut. It has a minimum 1/16" clearance at any given point. It helped my accuracy dramatically shooting off a bench with a bipod. The bipod is attached forward of the sight tower with a Harris swivel kit piece. It looks good as well. I had the bipod attached to the factory hand guard prior to installing the new Troy rail. It was too high, and not very steady for me. |

Todd is a great guy and he can cut you custom lengths if you want. I would do mlok just because it seems like a simpler system. I have an slr intrepid in mlok and couldn't be happier. |
