Okay, I have decided on a Larue Tactical rail for my bushy.
I have a 24inch barrel on my Bushmaster Varminter.
Here's the question. What length rail do i need to get 12.0inch or 13.2inch

The 12" is the same size as the handguards you have now and the tube leaves the gas block fully exposed. The 13.5" will just barely cover the gas block.
Personally, I like the covered gas block look. Here's my varmint rig with a 24" bull barrel and 16" long FIRSH handguard.

I clamped the regular RRA aluminum gas block in a vise and went to work on it with a bastard file. The gas block on your barrel should be low enough to to fit on without any problems.
