| Took my new CMMG dedicated .22 upper that Santa brought me to the local indoor range. Fired about 300 or so rounds without a single hiccup. My 10/22's were never that reliable on a good day. Ammo was 550 Federal bulk pack from Wallyworld and Black Dog machine mags. I was only shooting 25 yards with my Aimpoint Comp m2, but this thing seems to be very accurate. I can't wait to get to my real outdoor range when the snow stops. Overall, I'm very impressed and would recommend CMMG to anyone looking for a dedicated upper. |

Great to hear another good report. I'm gonna write up some of what I've been doing
with my CMMG in just a little bit. CMMG's really run Fine.. But, I'm amazed to hear that Federal Bulk is doing so well.. I still get several out of every 100 that I can bust 6 or 7 times and they won't go bang. Spec / Dave-South |

It must just be us Spec. I got flamed on Rimfire.com for saying the Fed Bulk was crap. I have not bought any new so maybe it's straightened out now.
You and I do so much testing and bought it by the thousands, I'm still trying to shoot Fed Bulk I bout in 2008. Good to hear the CMMG is running good for you. I've only had one from them that did not run, and it was an experimental effort never released to the consumer. Dave |
| My stash of Federal bulk pack was purchased during the ammo crisis of 2008-2009. I did have one round fail to ignite, but the weapon did not have any issues at all. Also, no issue with the notched hammer on my factory Colt 6920 lower. I'm not surprised because I never had issues with my Ciener .22 kit and notched hammers either. If I could just get the damn flash hider off I could try my can on it and some subsonic ammo. That mother is ON THERE. I'll wait until I can get to a barrel vice before I bugger up the threads. |
