I'm confused ... these are quality lowers that used to be abundant. I know the industry is having trouble keeping up with demand and that many retailers are gouging, but I have some questions based on the thread I just read:
Are you guys ordering from Aero directly? What's their shipping ETA? If direct, why so much $$? And whatever happened to the good ol' SurplusArms "three for $210" deal? I want two stripped lowers, but if this is gouging from the panic, I will abstain from buying out of protest. This has gotten out of hand and we are feeding the seller frenzy. |

Rock livin' ... Didn't mean to start a firestorm, but I haven't ventured to build an AR from a lower since late 2010 when I got not one, but two, Noveske N4 lowers for $320, shipped to my FFL. I just hadn't realized how out of hand it has truly gotten in the market til I visited the BIY forum today (haven't been around in a while). I was just shocked at the prices I saw people posting from Aero since I decided now would be a good time to stock up on another AR or two given the present political situation. I expected a price jump, but I was seeing them online, available, and around $80 a lower as little as eight months ago when I was testing the water. Other projects took precedence and I guess I'm just now realizing what current events have truly set in motion in the industry. Guess I missed my opportunity.
Anyway, I don't want to make this a GD topic or anything, and I've got the info I was looking for ... thanks, all. |
